The Roasterie: "Which bean are you?"

These three pieces are all part of our creative group: "Which bean are you?" campaign for The Roasterie. These all fit into our campaign on ways to further develop the concept. These extra pieces are known as "flair."
The shipping label adds a personal touch to the shipping of The Roasterie's specialty coffee in implementing what line the coffee being shipped into the receivers name.
The second was to add to the shipping package its self. This was to create a complete campaign through every avenue possible. Also, help create a buzz and increase branding.
Third are buttons of each specialty line of coffee. These would be simple ways to let people express which bean they are or have been. This again is simply to help create a buzz and give the already talkative and sharing community of coffee drinkers another conversation piece. Hopefully being "which bean" they are or have been in the past. Kind of a way for them to know what lines they've tried, and what experience and memories they can relate a specific blend of coffee to compliment it.

KC's Very Own: The Roasterie

These three pieces are for an ad campaign for The Roasterie located in Kansas City MO. I worked on this project in my Advanced Advertising Strategies class. As a class we formed our own agency to research, concept, develop, and present advertising strategies to them.
We presented the campaign concepts and company analysis to a group of seven, including the owner and marketing director. They were able to implement several of our suggestions.
The work you see here are three mock magazine ads for one of our campaign ides titled: "Which Bean are you?" The idea is that with the variety of specialty coffee blends they are categorized. The idea is that every situation and feeling provides the need for a different coffee to properly compliment that situation.
I was involved in this creative group, the presentation team, and the company analysis team. In all ways we had experience and helped in the entire process. We were able to help with their website usability, some SEO, and suggestions in any and all information we found.
This was a wonderful experience and I couldn't even start to thank everyone enough for the good times. However I would like to thank our professor Jacquie for always being there to help. Kevin Fullerton of Springboard Creative for being our link between the class and the client. Thanks for your trust in us as a class agency and all your hard work and time. It is greatly appreciated. And last but, certainly not least thanks to The Roasterie. It was a pleasure to work with you and thanks for all your help and patience with us. From the baristas to the main man himself Danny. Jason Burton thanks for being our main source of contact and information. It was great getting to know you and work with you.         And of course thanks to everybody that was in this class with myself. As an agency it was great to see what we started with to what we ended with. All the late nights, coffee testings, and last minute issues and changes really gave us all some professional experience. I learned so much in that one semester. Thank you so much!

Web Page overhaul idea and design

This is a layout for our schools radio station's web page. The idea behind this was to increase the sites usability and to optimize the site so it would put a picture image to the image the radio was looking for.
To increase the usability I created and suggested tabs and allowing the bread crumb feature to let users know where they are and where they have been. Also, this allows the page to be better organized and gives it a much cleaner and professional look.
Next, being the schools radio station and needing sponsors and advertising we had to get traffic to the site so we could not only sell them on air time but also, being seen on the site. Well this would mean we needed to optimize the site and run analytics on it so we could present facts and numbers to possible clients to get them to see the benefits of using X-106 to advertise. The idea was to optimize all tags and headers to get fully optimized and be SEO savvy.
Unfortunately, we have yet to implement a lot of what I have describe. However, we did get along ways in getting a image from the air to the internet so we could move further down the road. We did get Google Analytics in place and have been running it since late last year.
I was the webmaster for one semester and unfortunately not everything could be completed in one semester in trying to get the station up and online and also streaming live. We had a few other hurdles to go over before we could get down the the grind of really taking the site to the next level. I have full faith it will be there soon. Check them out at www.kzlxfm.com!

This is work from a professional client. I created a logo and business card for him. The process started with an initial meeting and then gathering information by research and reading through his blog so I could successfully meet his needs and desires.
After several trial and error he came to deciding the logo as seen. The inner image changes on a few of his materials that he sells on his blog. All images that he uses and logos used are from my designs and from other trials that just didn't make it as the main logo. The only difference is the inner image the font, colors, and white border is all the exact same.
This is the business cards that I designed for Mr. Jason Offutt. Please check out his blog and the design and logo will flow brilliantly. I would like to thank Mr. Offutt for allowing me to have the creative mind and freedom. It was a pleasure.
